We advise on six things. Most clients need two or three of them. We plan them together, so that a decision in one does not undo another.

Investment advice

We build your portfolio around what the money is for and when you will need it. We use broadly diversified, low-cost funds. They are held by a regulated custodian in your name, not by us.

Who it is for

  • People with savings spread across several banks, platforms or countries.
  • People who want one plan instead of a drawer of products.
  • People who care more about costs and discipline than forecasts.

What we do

  • Set out what each part of your money is for, and when you need it.
  • Choose funds and a custodian, and show you what each one costs.
  • Pick fund domiciles that suit a Singapore resident, to limit withholding and estate tax.
  • Put everything you own on one statement.
  • Rebalance when the mix drifts away from the plan.

How we work. We do not try to predict markets. We keep costs low, spread risk widely and change course when your plans change, not when the news does.

Retirement and CPF

We work out how much income you will need in retirement, and from when. Then we plan where each dollar comes from: CPF LIFE, SRS, insurance and your investments.

Who it is for

  • Citizens and permanent residents planning around CPF and SRS.
  • Foreigners who will retire without CPF.
  • Anyone within ten years of stopping work.

What we do

  • Project your income and spending year by year, through bad markets and a long life.
  • Decide on CPF top-ups, the CPF LIFE plan, and when to start payouts.
  • Plan SRS contributions and withdrawals to keep the tax low.
  • Fit in pensions you have in other countries.
  • Plan for medical and long-term care costs.

How we work. We cover essential spending with income that does not depend on markets first. Your investments then pay for everything else.

Insurance

We work out what your family would need if you died or could not work. We subtract the cover you already have. Then we compare policies from several insurers for the gap.

Who it is for

  • Families with children, a mortgage or parents to support.
  • Expatriates whose cover ends when their job does.
  • Business owners who need key-person or shareholder cover.

What we do

  • Write down the need in numbers before we discuss any policy.
  • Compare policies from several insurers.
  • Review the policies you have, and tell you which to keep.
  • Help you and your family with claims.

How we work. Insurers pay us commission on the policies we arrange. We show you the amount for each option before you choose.

Estate planning

We list what you own and who should receive it. Then we check that your will, your CPF nomination and your insurance nominations say the same thing. Lawyers draft the documents. We coordinate the work.

Who it is for

  • Families with property, accounts or children in more than one country.
  • Parents of young children.
  • Business owners whose company is their largest asset.

What we do

  • List every asset, who owns it, and who should receive it.
  • Check wills and nominations against each other.
  • Plan for incapacity with a Lasting Power of Attorney.
  • Work out whether a trust is worth what it costs.
  • Work with your lawyer, or introduce you to one.

How we work. We review your estate plan every year, and after any marriage, birth, death, move or sale.

Moving to or from Singapore

A move changes your tax, your pension, your insurance and the rules your estate follows. We plan it before it happens, with specialists in each country.

Who it is for

  • People moving to Singapore for work.
  • People leaving Singapore, or retiring somewhere else.
  • Singaporeans coming home after years abroad.

What we do

  • Plan what to do with pensions and investments before you move.
  • Work with your tax advisers in each country.
  • Replace insurance that stops at the border.
  • Choose the currency to plan in.
  • Check that your will and nominations work in each country.

How we work. Tax and succession law differ in every country. We coordinate one plan across them, so the advice from each adviser fits together.

Business owners

For most owners, the company is the largest asset and the largest risk. We help you protect it, and plan for the day it turns into family money.

Who it is for

  • Founders and owner-managers of private companies.
  • Partners in professional practices.
  • Owners planning a sale or handover in the next five years.

What we do

  • Key-person and shareholder protection.
  • Group medical, life and disability cover for staff.
  • Salary, dividends, CPF and SRS for owners.
  • Succession and exit planning.
  • A plan for the sale proceeds before they arrive.

How we work. We plan the business and the household together, because a decision in one changes the other.
