Privacy
Last updated 30 September 2026. This policy explains how Ellegaard Pte. Ltd. collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. Who we are
We are a financial adviser licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Ellegaard Pte. Ltd., UEN 201600971R, is registered at 78 Lorong Limau, #16-71 Whampoa Dew, Singapore 320078. We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, whose contact details are in clause 13.
2. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, NRIC, FIN or passport number, date of birth, nationality, address, phone and email.
- Financial details: income, assets, debts, insurance, investments, CPF and SRS, tax residence, goals, attitude to risk, and details of dependants.
- Due diligence details required by law: source of wealth and funds, employment, identity documents.
- Health details, only where an insurance application needs them, and only with your explicit consent.
- Records of our meetings, calls and correspondence.
- Messages you send through this website.
3. How we collect it
From you, in meetings, calls, forms and correspondence. From people you authorise to act for you. From product providers, custodians and platforms where you hold products through us. From public sources. And, for the checks the law requires, from screening providers.
4. What we use it for
- Understanding your needs and giving you financial advice.
- Arranging and administering products and transactions on your instructions.
- Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations, including identity checks.
- Keeping you informed about your plan and your products.
- Handling complaints, disputes and claims.
- Keeping records, as the law requires.
- Sending you information about our services, only if you agree.
5. Consent
By giving us personal data, or by engaging us, you consent to its use for the purposes above. Where the PDPA allows us to act without consent, for example to meet a legal obligation, we may do so. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to our Data Protection Officer. We will tell you what that would mean, which may include our being unable to keep advising you.
6. Who we share it with
- Insurers, fund managers, custodians and platforms, to put your plan in place.
- Your lawyers, accountants and other advisers, when you ask us to work with them.
- MAS, other regulators, courts and government agencies, when the law requires it.
- Service providers who support our business under contract and must protect your data.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
7. Transfers abroad
Some providers are outside Singapore. When we send personal data abroad, we make sure the recipient protects it to a standard comparable to the PDPA, as the PDPA requires.
8. How long we keep it
As long as we need it for the purposes above, and as long as the law requires. Regulatory rules oblige us to keep client records for a minimum period after a relationship ends. After that we delete or anonymise the data securely.
9. Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and staff training. Please tell us when your details change, so that what we hold stays accurate.
10. This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Its typeface and photographs are served from our own server, so visiting a page sends nothing to anyone else. If you choose to turn the site's animation on or off, your browser stores that one setting; it contains nothing about you. Messages sent through the contact form reach us by email, or through a form service acting for us.
11. Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, how we have used or disclosed it in the past year, and the correction of any error. Write to our Data Protection Officer. We may charge a reasonable fee for access and will tell you the amount first. We aim to reply within thirty days.
12. Do Not Call
We will not send you marketing by phone call, text or fax unless you have clearly agreed, or the PDPA otherwise allows it. You can ask us to stop at any time.
13. Contact and complaints
Write to our Data Protection Officer at support@ellegaardgroup.com, or by post to our office. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission.
